Additional Support
In Ayurveda, Vata skin is dry, thin, and prone to sensitivity, showing early signs of aging like fine lines. Pitta skin is soft, warm, and fair but can be sensitive, often prone to redness, inflammation, and conditions like acne or sunburn. Kapha skin is thick, oily, and well-hydrated, resistant to aging but prone to clogged pores, blackheads, and dullness if not properly cleansed. Each skin type benefits from tailored care to balance its unique characteristics and maintain health and radiance.
You don’t need to avoid applying oil to oily skin—what matters is selecting the right oil for your skin type. Oily skin is often dehydrated at a deeper level, and proper hydration helps it move toward balance.
For oily (Kapha) skin, which is thick, consistently oily, and not sensitive, a lightweight, oil-balancing face oil is ideal. Such oils absorb easily, regulate excess oil production, and restore harmony to the skin. If your skin is oily in the T-zone and feels sensitive (a common trait of Pitta skin), a gentle, soothing oil can help maintain balance while calming sensitivity. Complementing this with a hydrating and sebum-balancing serum can further support the skin’s natural rejuvenation and equilibrium.
